Common questions
What are usage credits?
Every plan includes a monthly credit balance. Running an app draws down credits based on the compute, storage, and bandwidth it actually uses. One simple balance, no separate per-resource invoices.
What happens when I run out of credits?
You switch to simple pay-as-you-go at list rates, or top up / upgrade for more included credit. Set a spend cap and we'll notify you and pause before you get a surprise bill.
Do I need a credit card to start?
Yes. Adding a card starts you on Starter ($5/mo), which includes $5 of usage credits each month. You only pay more if usage goes beyond your credits, and bill-shock protection means no surprises.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. Plan changes take effect immediately and are prorated to the day.
What counts as an "app"?
Each deployed service (a web app, worker, or database instance) counts as one app toward your plan's limit.
When should I move to a dedicated cluster?
When you want hard isolation, a static egress IP for database allowlisting, or predictable flat pricing instead of metered usage. Switch to the Dedicated tab to compare.
Need SSO or a custom contract?
Enterprise features (SSO, custom SLAs, MSAs, and invoice billing) are available on Dedicated Enterprise. Switch to the Dedicated tab or contact sales.
Do you offer credits for startups?
Yes. Early-stage startups can apply for $500 in platform credit at /startups. Approved credit is applied automatically and offsets your usage.
